Code Foils Black Series Mast
Maximum Stiffness. Minimum Drag. Total Foil Connection.
The Code Foils Black Series Mast is Code Foils’ most refined high-performance mast, engineered for riders who demand exceptional stiffness, efficiency, precision and responsiveness from their foil setup.
Developed using aerospace-grade Ultra High Modulus (UHM) carbon, the Black Series combines a highly refined carbon layup with a progressive tapered profile to create an incredibly direct and responsive connection between rider, board and foil. The result is a mast that accelerates efficiently, carries speed effortlessly and responds immediately to rider input.
Designed as a versatile, high-performance mast across multiple foiling disciplines, the Black Series is equally at home in wing foiling, downwind, prone, SUP, parawing, dock starts, Foil Drive, kite foiling and pump foiling.
Aerospace-Grade UHM Carbon Construction
At the heart of the Black Series is Code Foils’ aerospace-grade Ultra High Modulus carbon construction. The refined laminate schedule is engineered to maximise stiffness and structural performance while maintaining the precise, connected feel expected from a premium carbon mast.
The increased stiffness helps minimise unwanted mast flex and torsional movement, allowing rider input to transfer more directly through the foil. This creates a more precise and predictable feel, particularly when accelerating, carving, pumping or riding at higher speeds.
Progressive Tapered Profile
The Black Series features a carefully engineered progressive tapered profile, concentrating structural material where it is needed most while reducing the submerged profile to minimise drag.
With a 105 mm chord at its narrowest point, the Black Series is the narrowest mast in the current Code Foils range. The refined profile is designed to reduce hydrodynamic resistance without compromising the control and predictability required across different foiling disciplines.
The result is a mast designed to deliver:
-
Reduced hydrodynamic drag
-
Faster acceleration
-
Improved efficiency
-
Enhanced glide
-
Precise handling
-
A highly responsive connection to the foil
Increased Stiffness and Responsiveness
Compared with the corresponding Code Foils Plus Mast, the Black Series delivers a significant increase in stiffness. Each mast length has been specifically engineered with its own balance of bending and torsional stiffness to optimise performance for that size.
75 cm: 8% stiffer and 9% torsionally stiffer than the 75 Plus
80 cm: 19% stiffer and 5% torsionally stiffer than the 80 Plus
85 cm: 27% stiffer and 5% torsionally stiffer than the 85 Plus
This increased rigidity creates a more direct and connected ride, helping the mast respond quickly to changes in rider input while maintaining control and predictability.
Choose Your Ideal Mast Length
The Black Series is available in 75 cm, 80 cm and 85 cm lengths.
75 cm
A versatile choice for riders prioritising manoeuvrability, shallower water clearance and disciplines such as prone foiling, downwind foiling, paddle-up and dock starts.
80 cm
A highly versatile option for riders looking for an all-round mast capable of covering a broad range of foiling disciplines. Its additional depth provides increased clearance while maintaining an excellent balance of responsiveness and control.
85 cm
Ideal for riders who require additional mast depth and clearance, particularly for wind disciplines, larger surf, e-foiling and tow foiling.
Built for Multiple Foiling Disciplines
The Black Series is designed to provide high-level performance across a wide range of riding styles, making it a strong choice for riders who want one premium mast platform that can adapt to different foiling applications.
Suitable for: Wing Foiling, Downwind Foiling, Prone Foiling, SUP Foiling, Parawing, Dock Starts, Foil Drive, Kite Foiling, Pump Foiling.
Premium Interface
The Black Series incorporates a refined titanium interface, combining low weight, durability and corrosion resistance at the connection points. The interface is designed to provide a secure and precise connection between the mast and the rest of the foil system.
