For 2027, Duotone has introduced a number of important design refinements. A shorter centre strut, revised profile distribution, optimised canopy tension, updated tip geometry and a redesigned window layout combine to create a wing that feels more compact, direct and predictable in the hands.

The most noticeable change for 2027 is the shorter strut. By reducing the overall centre strut length, Duotone has created a more compact wing with reduced swing weight. This makes the Unit feel lighter and more manoeuvrable when changing direction, transitioning or performing freestyle manoeuvres.

The compact geometry also improves handling when the wind becomes inconsistent. Through gusts and lulls, the Unit maintains smooth and predictable power delivery, giving you confidence to stay powered without the wing feeling nervous or difficult to control.

The 2027 Unit has been tuned with revised canopy tension and optimised tip twist to provide improved draft stability and cleaner aerodynamics. When flagged out, the wing remains stable and predictable, helping it stay out of your way while you focus on the foil and the wave.

A wide, stiff leading-edge handle provides comfortable one-handed control, making the Unit particularly well suited to wave riding, carving and surf-style sessions.

Updated window layout

Fusion Boom or Handles — your choice

The Unit 2027 is compatible with Duotone's Fusion control system, allowing you to choose between Fusion Handles and the Fusion Boom.

Handles provide a compact, direct connection to the wing and are ideal for riders who prefer a traditional multi-handle setup. The Fusion Boom offers continuous hand placement and maximum freedom when adjusting your grip during freeride, freestyle and wave sessions.

Please note: the Unit 2027 is supplied without a boom or handles. The compatible Fusion Boom or Fusion Handles must be purchased separately.
