A big floaty nose, a powerful responsive construction, directional camber set back 1.5”, mild taper angle, a nice switch friendly tail and exclusive all new directional progressive Magne-Traction®. The GNU Banked Country is a high-performance freeride snowboard built for riders who thrive on speed, precision, and fluid lines through technical terrain. Designed by Temple Cummins and tested in legendary Northwest conditions, it’s tuned to dominate banked slalom courses, carve powerful lines, and handle steep backcountry descents with confidence.
At its core, the Banked Country uses a lightweight yet powerful G Lite 3 construction—a mix of sustainably harvested wood for snap and stability with an eco-sublimated topsheet for reduced weight and environmental impact. GNU’s C3 camber profile delivers aggressive edge hold, maximum pop, and uncompromising control, while the slightly setback stance and directional shape keep it charging through variable snow with ease.
The Magne-Traction® serrated edges provide unmatched grip on hardpack and icy surfaces, while the progressive sidecut ensures smooth transitions and effortless flow from edge to edge. A high-end sintered base keeps the speed up whether you’re dropping into a steep chute, railing through gates, or blasting down groomers.
