Compared to the original model, the V2 introduces a completely reworked canopy profile and a refined lower aspect-ratio shape that improves control, reduces wingtip catches and creates a more forgiving overall feel. The updated design generates smoother, more progressive power delivery while maintaining excellent upwind drive and efficient drift when riding swell lines downwind.

The reduced wingspan improves manoeuvrability and helps keep the tips clear of the water during transitions, carving and pumping. Combined with enhanced canopy tension and an updated internal rib structure, the V2 feels noticeably more balanced and stable in gusty conditions while offering easier foil starts and improved low-speed performance.

One of the biggest updates is the redesigned Bow Bar control system. The new layout opens up hand positioning and delivers more precise angle-of-attack control for smoother sheeting and improved comfort during long sessions. Smaller sizes feature a compact 33cm control bar for reduced swing weight and tighter handling, while larger sizes use a 36cm bar for additional leverage and stability.

The Pocket Rocket V2 also benefits from a simplified bridle system inspired by Ozone’s latest foil kite developments. Shorter bridles and coated front lines reduce tangles, improve reliability and make deployment and pack-down significantly easier on the water. The wing compresses into an extremely compact package, making it ideal for riders who want to stash the wing while surfing swell completely hands-free.

On the water, the V2 offers a larger sweet spot with reduced sensitivity to rider input, making it more accessible for progressing riders while still delivering the efficiency and speed experienced foilers demand. Improved inflation characteristics help the wing recover quickly after deployment, while the delayed stall point increases confidence when riding deeper downwind angles or handling changing wind strengths.
